The deep end

Why bother testing?

Municipal water is required to meet EPA standards — but standards only cover what's regulated, and only at the treatment plant. Between the plant and your tap is a long journey through aging infrastructure, lead service lines, and your own plumbing.

Well water? Unregulated. You are your own treatment plant, and your own quality assurance department. Annual testing is the bare minimum.

Both can contain contaminants that are invisible, tasteless, and odorless — and matter most for children, pregnancies, and immune-compromised households.
